Incident: Iran F100 at Tehran on Oct 2nd 2012, dropped wheel on takeoff


An Iran Air Fokker 100, registration EP-CFE performing flight IR-208 from Tehran Mehrabad to Ahwaz (Iran), dropped the left nosewheel upon departure from Tehran, stopped the climb, burned off fuel and returned to Tehran Mehrabad. After touch down the crew held the nose gear up as long as practicable and rolled out safely.

A replacement aircraft reached Ahwaz and further on Lavan (Iran) with a delay of 3.5 hours.
