Exam revision is always a stressful time and with proper studying techniques it can become a rewarding thing. Looking back on past exam experience and analysing my ability to revise I find that most times I leave revising to the last minute which causes more stress and anxiety to pile up and though, In taking the exam I usually I can still recall what I would have been revising and also from previous lecturers it is still risky to revise last minute. Some concern that I still have is that due to my last minute studying one day I might endanger my health because during exam period I tend not to get much sleep because I will be in a panic mode because of the exam. Another problem that I have sometimes is not having a structured system of revising. I usually do my revision very haphazard which sometimes costs me in that I can miss out on important concepts that might have been important for the exam.
What I can do in the future to improve my exam performance and achieve success is by not waiting last minute to do my revision but I need to give myself ample time to revise my work so as not to put too much pressure on myself that might compromise my performance in the exam. Also I need to make sure I give myself good rest as this will reduce any unneeded stress and it will also revitalise my mind. In the future I can set up a study time table so I can have a systematic and structured way of doing my revising so as not to miss out on any topics.
